An animated sitcom isn't the most obvious replacement for Game of Thrones, but this one has a lot about it to suggest it might actually be able to provide some comfort to those missing the world of Ice and Fire.

It's the first new venture since Futurama for Simpsons creator Matt Groening, which is reason enough to be interested, and the latest animated offering from Netflix, who have given us one of TV's very best in BoJack Horseman.

Where GoT comes in, though, is the setup: Disenchantment is an adult fantasy that takes place in the crumbling kingdom of Beanlandia, where we follow the alcoholic Princess Bean, her elf companion Elfo, and personal demon Luci. According to Groening himself, it'll explore life, death, love, and sex.
