4. Elizabeth Mitchell Got Drunk & Cried For Days - Lost

Elizabeth Mitchell gave a terrific performance on Lost as Dr. Juliet Burke, who quickly became a fan favourite character after being introduced in the show's third season. Though originally intended for a short stint, her popularity ensured she stuck around until close to the show's end.

Juliet ultimately died at the start of season six after she detonated the Jughead hydrogen bomb, and though this wasn't the last we saw of Juliet courtesy of the series' flash-sideways shenanigans, the death still hit Mitchell like a ton of bricks all the same. In a 2009 interview, she said:

"I cried for a couple days... Evangeline [Lilly] and my sister came over and we drank until we fell asleep on the couch, which was not good, because none of us are big drinkers. We woke up and said, 'Let's do ice cream next time, okay?'"

Mitchell certainly landed on her feet post-Lost, though, having been continually in demand ever since in shows such as V, Revolution, Once Upon a Time, and The Expanse. Plus, she's next set to reprise her role as Mrs. Claus in The Santa Clause franchise in the upcoming Disney+ series.
