These actors wouldn't join TV shows without these conditions being met.
So much of what goes into a TV show is the "boring" behind-closed-doors nonsense of hammering out contracts and nailing down schedules.
And sometimes, it's about placating a star who has one steadfast, make-or-break condition for appearing on a series.
For whatever reason - whether acceptable or just patently ridiculous - actors might have one unmoveable stipulation for agreeing to star in a TV show, and it then falls to the showrunners, producers, and perhaps even the network itself to grant that demand.
And that's evidently what happened with these 10 actors, each of whom had one major request to play a part in these TV series.
Maybe it came down to their own scheduling and logistical considerations, aspects of the story they needed to be tweaked for their own morals, or slightly more "eccentric" demands about costume and hairstyle.
But whatever the reason, it was a stone-cold deal-breaker for each of them.
Evidently whatever they asked for was ultimately granted as each actor of course agreed to appear on these shows, and considering the end result in each case, it was almost certainly worth it for all involved...
10. Winona Ryder Needed A Break To Film Beetlejuice 2 - Stranger Things
Winona Ryder has enjoyed one hell of a career resurgence thanks to starring as Joyce Byers in Netflix's Stranger Things, but before she signed on for the ongoing series, she had one deal-breaker condition for creators Matt and Ross Duffer.
When Stranger Things began shooting in late 2015, Ryder had been waiting 25 years for a sequel to Tim Burton's fantasy-comedy Beetlejuice to get off the ground.
And given her clear fondness for the original film, she had to ensure that pesky scheduling conflicts wouldn't ever prevent her from appearing in the sequel if it got the greenlight.
And so, Ryder told the Duffers upfront that she could only come aboard Stranger Things if she'd be granted leave to film Beetlejuice 2 if it ever happened, to which they agreed.
But thankfully all the timing worked out regardless - Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was shot between the fourth and fifth seasons of Stranger Things, allowing Ryder to appear in both productions without compromise.
