3. Hank Before Heisenberg

Hank Schrader really grows on you as a character. Starting out as a smug, sniggering, comedic cop, we eventually see the loyal family man behind his bravado emerging as the seasons ease on, revealing a guy who's driven by the desire to do the right thing. We see plenty of DEA action during Breaking Bad, but a prequel looking at Hank's early time in the organisation could be extremely entertaining. Not only would this allow Bryan Cranston to reprise his role as protagonist Walter White, it would also be an opportunity to provide the viewer with some inside-jokes: exploring some of the signs that Hank might have missed with regards to the likes of Gus Fring and Lydia Rodarte-Quayle and their links to the drug world. Any show about the DEA and their efforts to halt drug distribution has the potential to be hugely entertaining, and if anyone could do it right it'd be Vince Gilligan. Seeing Hank Schrader as an amateur flying up the ranks would make for great viewing, as would his occasional visit to the White household for one of those innocent family barbecues...
