10 Amazing TV Cameos That Should've Happened (But Didn't)

2. Danny Pudi €“ Big Bang Theory

Of the shows on this list, Big Bang Theory probably needs cameos the least. With their ratings currently dominating CBS's comedy lineup, celebrity cameos at this point are just there to flex the show's muscles. Yet still, ee've already seen plenty of awesome (and ridiculously nerdy) guest appearances, including Leonard Nimoy, Stephen Hawking, Summer Glau, and...Will Wheaton. In fact, the show plans on featuring not one, but two famous actors from Star Wars. James Earl Jones (the voice of Darth Vader) and Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) will be making an appearance on the show later this year. So, where does the show even go from here? A truly amazing cameo would come from Community's Danny Pudi, television's other insufferable mind. Abed Nadir is a film geek with the mind of a computer, containing about as much emotional intelligence as Sheldon Cooper. Can you imagine seeing these similar characters meet each other? And yes, it would have to be the character of Abed meeting Sheldon. To date, the two shows have never mentioned each other, making the setup for these shows sharing a world both appropriate and reasonable. The likelihood of this cameo happening, however, isn't that great. At this point, Big Bang Theory is too much of a blockbuster to take creative risks like this, seeing as most of the viewers wouldn't even know who Abed Nadir is. Still, we can hope that Abed will find a way to make it to this timeline in his own fantasies.
