10 Amazing TV Comedies On Netflix You Need To Binge-Watch

9. Mock The Week

It might seem pointless to catch up on an old topical panel show, given that the relevance could very easily be lost on the audience after the passage of time. But with Mock The Week, the quick succession of jokes and witticisms from some of the UK's best comedians is as much of a pleasure to watch regardless of the context of the material. This universality of Mock The Week's comedic appeal comes from the talent called upon to make up the panels: host Dara O'Brien is flanked by the likes of Hugh Dennis, Russell Howard, Rory Bremner, Andy Parsons and Frankie Boyle, ensuring that the improvised routines are wildly unpredictable and frequently hilarious. Boyle in particular offers some truly stand-out moments - if you like your comedy on the dark and scathing side his contributions are a must-see. Netflix currently features three seasons of Mock The Week for their UK customers (it's hard to say how well the series would be received in the US, given the many UK-centric references), and there's a Christmas Special for people who like a little festive cheer with their news-based satire.
