10 Best Animated Comedy TV Shows On Netflix Right Now

1. BoJack Horseman

BoJack Horseman was the star of the hit television show "Horsin' Around" in the '80s and '90s, but now he's washed up, living in Hollywood, complaining about everything, and wearing colourful sweaters.

That's the main premise of Raphael Bob-Waksberg's comedy series, but during its six-season run it evolves and branches out, along with its characters whose experiences are equal parts hilarious and heartbreaking. It was a tough task ranking the top shows on this list, but BoJack Horseman's incredible ability to tell genuinely sad stories without sacrificing any of the humour, just tipped it for the top spot.

The show's characters are all deeply flawed, and in some cases, downright bad, but the writers still manage to portray them as real people (or rather, anthropomorphic creatures) with hopes and dreams, just for long enough to make us relate to them before they go on and do something bad again.

The best example of this is BoJack himself, who is, by virtue of being the show's protagonist, the main pair of eyes through which we experience the world. However, if we look at him from a distance, he is quite clearly a terrible person.

With that being said, the show still thrives on its clever humour which makes it delightfully rewatchable, if only to pick up subtle jokes and visual quirks you missed the first time around. So, quit horsin' around and switch on your Netflix!
