10 Best Arrowverse Performances Of 2019
8. Stephen Amell
Show: Supergirl
Episode: 'Crisis On Infinite Earths, Part 1'
Would you believe that the Green Arrow's best performance this year didn't actually come on his own show? Well, that's what you get when you pull the trigger on the biggest crossover of all time.
Crisis On Infinite Earths was expected to feature the death of Oliver Queen, but it wasn't supposed to happen in the very first episode. However, that's exactly what happened when the Emerald Archer took on a horde of Shadow Demons and fought to his very last breath in a bid to save Earth-38.
Stephen Amell produced a last stand for Oliver as triumphant and resilient as we've come to expect from him, but it was his emotional delivery of his character's death scene only seconds later that really threw viewers for a loop. And it was his unexpected emotional subtlety - as Oliver bid farewell to Barry, Sara and daughter Mia - that had us all crying our eyes out.
'You keep me in your heart, okay?' he told Mia. Oh Stephen, after that, you're never leaving our hearts. Ever.
