10 Best Comic Book TV Shows Never Made
3. Marvel's Most Wanted (2016)
For the time being, Netflix is home to the most popular of Marvel's TV shows, though this will likely change to Disney+ over the course of the next few years, but the franchise's most successful and longest running show belongs to ABC, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
The show ran for seven seasons, with the second and third being the only ones to feature Agents Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter. Between seasons two and three, development began on a spin-off for the ex-spouses. Marvel's Most Wanted would have followed the two former S.H.I.E.L.D agents on the run, though the decision was ultimately made to keep them with Coulson and co.
Just halfway into season three, Most Wanted picked up momentum again, and Morse and Hunter were written out of the show to free up Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood to shoot the pilot. The pair left the team and were never seen on the show again.
The pilot itself, filmed in early 2016, was ultimately unsuccessful, as the series was rejected by ABC, wasting two of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D's strong supporting characters. It's hard to wrap your head around that fact that Marvel's Most Wanted was killed, but Marvel's Inhumans gained a full season order.
