8. Elizabeth Taylor As Maggie Simpson In "Lisa's First Word"
It may be hard to imagine a guest spot on a network TV show creating huge buzz today, but in 1992, it was big news when Elizabeth Taylor was appeared on The Simpsons -- and to make things even more notable, she would be voicing Maggie Simpson for the baby's first-ever word. The episode was a classic flashback piece, where Marge tells Bart and Lisa the story of Lisa's first word -- in 1984 (!), she was born, and baby Bart was so jealous that he planned to run away. Finally, Lisa stops him by uttering his name -- turning Bart into a proud big brother. Together, Bart and the newly-verbose Lisa call Homer by his first name, much to his consternation. Of course, none of that involves Maggie, whom Homer puts to bed, telling her that he's in no rush to hear her talk. When he leaves, she takes her pacifier out of her mouth and speaks her first word. Best line: "Daddy."
