7. Patrick Stewart As Number One In "Homer the Great"
Though Patrick Stewart's most notable roles have been science-fiction-based in nature (Capt. Jean-Luc Picard on Star Trek: The Next Generation, Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men films), the man has undeniable comedic talent. He got to show some of it in "Homer the Great," where Homer joins an arcane club dedicated to secretive rituals... like drinking beer and playing ping pong. Stewart plays Number One, the leader of the group, guiding all the proceedings with his commanding voice. We never learn much about Number One -- not even his real name -- but there's a certain propriety to the character that, when cut with the occasional comedy line, really works well. Homer, of course, ends up becoming the "Chosen One" and taking over the Stonecutters, but when he tries to use them to help better the community, only a mutiny will suffice. Best line: "Sorry... no Homers."
