10 Best Modern Doctor Who Episodes For Halloween

Bill and a group of students are looking for a house share, but so far nothing is big or cheap enough for the six of them. That is until a mysterious Landlord offers them his magnificent house, with its very own forbidden tower. It seems too good to be true, and of course, it is. Soon the Doctor and Bill are trapped inside the creaking house with the students - a house which might just eat them all alive.

This is another great haunted house scenario. The supporting cast are good, and locations look wonderful. The house is full of wooden shutters, walls and boarding that suggests the creaking could be coming from anywhere. David Suchet plays the Landlord well, and Capaldi’s Doctor is a joy to watch as he tries to be cool in front of the students and solve the mystery of the bugs in the wood.
