10 Best Performances In The Walking Dead
4. Scott Wilson - Hershel Greene
Without a doubt one of the most missed characters in the entire show, Hershel Greene was a character unlike any other. A wise, contemplative and moral father and loyal friend to Rick, Glenn, Daryl and the other Survivors, Hershel's light was snuffed out far too soon and is still dearly missed to this day.
This is all a testament to the acting talent of veteran performer Scott Wilson. At once a kind and intelligent man, Wilson carries with him the air of a weathered soldier. Hershel was a man willing to do anything for those he loved, whether it involved saving Glenn from a dangerous virus or risking his life to protect Carl.
Both Wilson and Hershel's shined best when confronting others in the group. Wilson's work opposite Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan and Emily Kinney in particular is a stand-out, and it's thanks to his measured and sensible view of the world that the Survivors were able to band together and push through their toughest challenges.
