10 Best Recurring Sketches On The Kids In The Hall

7. The Headcrusher

Every once in a while a sketch transcends the show its on and makes it into the cultural zeitgeist. It reaches a point that even people who have never seen the show, or ever heard of it, know the joke. Saturday Night Live has done that more than a few times over the years with a variety of sketches. Kids in the Hall did that with The Headcrusher.

Mark McKinney played an eccentric older man named Mr. Tyzik who roamed the streets of Toronto crushing people's heads. Not actually crushing them but doing it from a distance with his finger and thumb. The sketches were frequently shot from a forced perspective to show him crushing "flatheads" who were the vast majority of the population. One sketch in particular stands out when he somehow noticed some heads had already been pinched and dueled the Facepincher played by McDonald. It was beyond absurd.

The Headcrusher often said while crushing heads, "I'm crushing your head!" while doing the deed. It's the line that has lived long beyond the series.
