9. Jaguar
Pickle Rick might just be the best episode of Rick & Morty out there, partly because of just how entertaining Pickle Rick was, and partly because of his epic fight against Jaguar.
Jaguar, wonderfully voiced by Danny Trejo, is a caged assassin who is unleashed to kill Pickle Rick by an unnamed evil organisation. The ensuing battle is both brilliant and hilarious as both Jaguar and Rick take chunks out of one another.
In the end, Jaguar and Rick team up to kill their captors and blow them to smithereens by detonating the bomb that destroys the building. With all seemingly well Jaguar accepts his freedom and leaves Rick.
Except for the fact that after the end credits Rick & Morty are done for, all hope is lost and they are about to die. When out of nowhere Jaguar appears and saves them from certain doom.
It's a moment worthy of an action movie as Jaguar re-appears to save them both, plus we get to see just that little bit more of this hulking assassin before he leaves again and to this point, he has never to be seen since.
In short, Jaguar is just epic in animation and in character, a play on so many bad movie assassins down the years, but also used here as a fantastically funny plot device.
