10 Best Superhero TV Shows Of 2018 (So Far)

7. Krypton

Krypton Seg-El
Syfy

A new arrival to the superhero world, Krypton is a Superman prequel, focusing on the Man of Steel's home planet Krypton. Set 200 years before the planet's destruction, the show centers around Seg-El (Superman's grandfather) and the House of El's downfall. But things take a turn when a visitor from the future informs Seg-El about his planet's future, and his grandson's heroic destiny.

There's no denying that Seg faced some naturally rich internal conflict throughout the series, as he had to choose between saving his planet or preserving Superman's destiny. The show was anchored by a strong performance from Cameron Cuffe and provided us with some stunning visuals, thanks to its rich special effects.

It may not be the strongest new superhero show of the year, but Krypton is an innovative, original take on an old story and is undoubtedly a worthy entry in the Superman franchise.
