5. Confronting A Serial Killer

John Wayne Gacy Netflix
Starz

Time for a break from Netflix.

'Confronting A Serial Killer' aired on Starz instead, and it charts the forged relationship between author Jillian Lauren and prolific murderer Sam Little. You've probably never heard of Little, but he's one of the most dangerous serial killers in history; Sam killed at least 60 people during his reign of terror.

As the title suggests, Lauren confronts Little and tries to get him to talk about his crimes. Of course, she's unsuccessful at first, but Jillian refuses to give up and eventually gets a few things out of the cold-blooded butcher. This is one for those who prefer hearing details about a serial killers mindset and approach.

It'll cause goosebumps.

Lauren's dedication to the cause across five episodes will have you rooting her on. Meanwhile, talking head comments from a few family members of the victims might leave you depressed. There's a real fine line between the psychological detective work being done and real people picking up the pieces of their lives.
