On first impression, Troy and Abed don't seem like they would ever hit it off. One of them is a jock, the other one is a nerd. One is popular, the other is anonymous. But their shared passion for incredibly niche things like bad movies, comic books, and cult TV shows bring them together.
Apart from the common interests that form the basis of their friendship, they end up scheming their way together through most of Community's run, often driving the plot and creating some of the show's funniest, most iconic moments.
