5. Spock & Kirk - Star Trek
Serious science fiction is not really the best place to create romances, but these two Star Trek icons have arguably the most unique relationship in all of Star Fleet. And that is why we've decided to give it the coveted label of a bromance and include it on this list. When you really think about it, it has all the aspects of one.
Kirk is the reckless and fun-loving friend, while Spock is the more measured, responsible one. He is the Wilson to Kirk's House, the Ted to his Barney. That might be a bit of a stretch, but you get the picture.
They have been through so many adventures together and many of them have been life-or-death situations, but they were always able to rely on each other to have their back. You could argue that is true for any Star Fleet officer, but these two had a cheeky dynamic that was special and different from everything else in the franchise.
They would often have disagreements, sometimes even downright conflicts, but there was a respect and a loyalty that always held them together. And that is the definition of a space bromance.
