10 Best TV Bromances Ever

3. Mac & Charlie - It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia

The entire main cast of characters in It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia have mutual relationships that are largely co-dependent, toxic, and most often abusive. The writers have been able to create and develop these connections successfully through the years and that's one of the key reasons the show has been so popular for so long.

Dennis and Dee have their brother/sister thing going, Frank and Charlie are the world's weirdest roommates, and Mac definitely has a secret crush on Dennis. All of those relationships are interesting in their own right, but none are quite as strong or as deep as the one that Charlie and Mac have.

The show's canon isn't exactly the most consistent, but what can be taken as true is that they grew up together so they have decades of shared memories and they know each other inside and out, better than anybody else. They both also came from working-class backgrounds, which sets them apart from the more privileged Reynolds family.

The show has used this dynamic cleverly and often paired them up, especially in the earlier seasons, and had them go on their ridiculous little side quests. Nothing brings two guys together like faking your death, am I right? Those adventures were a great source of comedy early on in the series, but the relationship between the two remains as solid as ever even after fifteen seasons.
