This two-parter was initially released on the December 26 and 27, 2003. Despite only running for two series, The Office has gone down as one of the greatest mockumentaries of all time and put Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant on the map. After stating that there would not be a third series, Gervais and Merchant released this Christmas special set three years after the documentary crew had stopped filming the Wernham-Hogg employees of Slough.

The plot: Despite leaving Wernham-Hogg, David Brent still pops into his old workplace to "boost moral", much to the employees objections. David is now a travelling salesman and makes D-list celebrity appearances at nightclubs and universities. He goes back to the office for their annual Christmas party where a lot of the main character's loose ends are tied up.

Why it's awesome: David Brent's music video for If You Don't Know Me By Now is a thigh slapper, and the way he finally stands up to Finchy for being a pr*ck was nothing short of heroic. There is a happy ending for Tim and Dawn, and David finally makes the office employees laugh.
