7. King Frodo

Ragnar Lothbrok Death Vikings
History

King Frodo was one of those rare characters who only appeared for a few minutes but left such a lasting impression you can't help but admire them.

Played by Gavan O'Connor Duffy, King Frodo was nothing like his hobbit namesake suggests. Frodo is large, and Frodo is absolutely terrifying.

Introduced in Season 5, King Frodo was the only King to reject Ubbe's invitation to join forces against Ivar in exchange for land in England. Originally, Frodo had arrived in England with several other Danish Kings to claim their own riches after raiding the land.

Ubbe, on the other hand, was now working with the Saxons and wanted a more peaceful end while still promising the Danes plenty of bloodshed in the future.

Frodo's rejection resulted in Ubbe challenging him to single combat, to which Frodo seemed alarmingly happy about. After immediately cleaving through Ubbe's shield with one stroke, it was clear that viewers were in for a treat. The fight breaks down into a bloody fistfight, with the two pulverising each other to a pulp.

Ubbe eventually landed a killing blow by stabbing Frodo in the back, but it is safe to say this fight was one of the most exciting ones in the series yet.
