10 Biggest Star Trek Battles We Never Got To See

6. The Narada Vs Forty-Seven Klingon Warbirds

Star Trek Narada

After the arrival of the Romulan mining ship, the Narada, in the past, the so-called ‘Kelvin’ timeline is born. The USS Kelvin is destroyed, resulting in the death of George Kirk, father of the famous James. However, his death comes as he pilots his ship into the Romulan vessel, crippling it for a time.

The ship is then overrun by the Klingons, who appear en masse to overwhelm their defences. The Klingon ships from that universe appear only as part of the Kobayashi Maru test, which is to say they barely appear at all. They were considered dangerous enough that they could outmatch a Federation starship, though it took 47 of them to match the Narada.

The film shows the Kelvin flying into the vessel and then there is a time jump of more than twenty years before the audience sees the Romulans and Nero again. There is a reference in dialogue to a battle between Romulans and Klingons, though nothing is seen. While the Narada as depicted is certainly a formidable opponent, the battle with an entire fleet would secure its position as one of the deadliest enemies that Starfleet ever faced.
