10 Characters Who Should Recur On The Flash TV Series

6. Pied Piper

Pied Piper Hartley Rathway, a.k.a. the Pied Piper, was born deaf but eventually had his hearing repaired. With his hearing now much more acute than normal, he became obsessed with sound and started to study it, later developing his own sonic technology. Eventually he created a flute that would hypnotize anyone near him when played, as well as built other devices that used sound as a destructive force. With his new inventions he turned to a life of crime and clashed with the Flash on many occasions. Later he took inspiration from the folk character he named himself afterwards and started to use his technology to control rats during his robberies. Unlike the most of the Rogues, Piper later reformed, and in the New 52 he is the conductor of the Central City orchestra and had briefly moonlighted as a vigilante. Piper offers something that the other villains can€™t: a chance at redemption. The rest of the Rogues continue to steal to make their way in life, but Piper eventually found a way out and built a normal life. I think that could be a cool thing to show on the series. Start him off as a villain that Flash faces several times, but then realizes the error of his ways and tries to reform. If they follow the vigilante aspect of his history, it might be cool to see him fight crime with the Flash to prove he€™s a changed man. As for his gimmick, they might need to adjust it a little bit. I don€™t mind if they show him using a flute that can hypnotize people, but in a show that will be filled with action, they should probably show him using his destructive sonic devices more often.
