6. The Reason Why The Griffins Can Afford Crazy Expensive Hi-Jinks Is Due To Stewies Modelling Career
Financial troubles have cropped up for Peter and his family quite a few times, yet they still manage to get up to crazy shenanigans that would bankrupt an entire country each and every week. This is even lampshaded in the show with Peter crashing his Petercopter and HindenPeter into Joe's house, and Joe subsequently exclaiming "How can you afford these things!?" As it turns out, there may actually be an in-show explanation as to how Peter can 'afford all these things'. In the episode A Picture is Worth A 1,000 Bucks, Stewie ends up becoming a model for Calvin Klein before this plot thread is waved off as a one-off gag. Being the egomaniac that he is, fans think that Stewie wouldn't just suddenly drop such a prestigious modelling career, instead suggesting that he's been modelling throughout the entire show's run. Since Peter has shown that he can be an absolutely awful human being, it is within reason that he would use Stewie's modelling money to fund his ridiculous activities. It would also explain how Peter can immediately drop any thoughts of going to work without a care in the world whenever the prospect of doing something stupid comes up. Damn, between funding Peter's shenanigans and his secret lab of high-tech equipment, Stewie must be a hell of a Calvin Klein model.
