10 Craziest Moments In The Walking Dead

4. The Woodbury Invasion

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1E9k3ZIDvaA By the time the invasion at Woodbury happened, we'd all come to terms with the fact that The Governor was not the man he pretended to be and was actually a huge psychopath. Not only did he keep his zombie daughter chained up in a dark room, as a way to keep hold of a small piece of his former life, he also collected the zombified heads of people he'd killed and kept them in tanks like they were fish. However, the worst thing The Governor did during this season was take Glenn and Maggie hostage because that directly led to the Woodbury invasion. Not only did his town get attacked, it also put him directly on the radar of a very unhinged Rick Grimes. Taking a team that included Daryl, Michonne and Oscar, Rick attacked Woodbury with some heavy artillery and smoke bombs. Let's not forget that Michonne got into a brutal fight with The Governor and eventually stabbed him in the eye with a glass shard too, forcing him to wear a rather terrifying eye patch. Although The Governor already had his eye on Rick and the rest of the group at the prison, this moment put them in direct conflict with him and was the reason behind death of Andrea and Milton in season three and Hershel in season four.
