10 Crazy Characters You Forgot Existed In Stargate

8. The Keeper

Stargate Game Keeper
MGM

The Keeper (guest star Dwight Schultz) was an android who was programmed to protect the people of his world while keeping them suspended in animation, while the world outside was ravaged by destruction. However, once the world had healed itself, he refused to release the people, for fear that they would destroy the planet again.

He kept SG-1 inside to provide the people with new memories and experiences in this virtual reality that he had constructed for the people. He trapped them in the memories of O'Neill and Jackson, despite these memories being painful for all concerned.

Eventually, SG-1 realised what was happening and refused to participate, forcing the Keeper to trick them into thinking they had returned home. They saw through this ruse, then managed to free themselves (And the rest of the population) for real that time.
