10 Crazy Characters You Forgot Existed In Stargate

7. Urgo

Stargate Urgo
MGM

Urgo was the artifical intelligence of a small microchip that had been implanted in the brains of SG-1. He appeared to them as a shared hallunicination, acting childish and curious, to the point where they were driven demented by his constant questionning.

This led to awkward encounters, as no one else could see him. General Hammond and Dr. Fraiser initially struggled to believe SG-1, though eventually were convinced. Despite his pleas, Carter attempted to disable him using an electromagnetic pulse - which only resulted in rebooting the chips.

He had take on the appearance of his creator (guest star Dom Deluise) Togar, and it was to him that SG-1 returned. Togar revealed that Urgo's sentience was a mistake and that he hadn't been designed to interact with them the way that he did. With that, Togar agreed to accept Urgo into his own mind, to keep him alive.

Fun fact: there are few scenes between Teal'c and Urgo, as Christopher Judge was unable to keep his composure with Deluise's often ad-libbed lines!
