10 Crazy Characters You Forgot Existed In Stargate

6. Cyla Urbanus

Cyla Urbanus (guest star Ona Grauer) was an Ancient who remained behind on Earth after the rest of her people left the Milky Way galaxy in the city ship Atlantis. She stayed in what would become known as Antarctica, where millions of years later, her body was discovered by a research team.

As a sign of how advanced she was, once she was thawed, she was revealed to still be alive. Not only alive, in fact, but she was soon awake and learning to understand and speak English.

She was an indication that the Ancients were the first evolution of humanity, with modern humans (and the rest of the humans spread out throughout the Milky Way) being the second evolution. She had healing powers that she could use to help others, though it severely weakened her to do it.

Unfortunately, she was a carrier of a deadly pathogen. This pathogen had devastated the Ancient population in her time and then threatened to do so in modern times as well. She sacrificed herself to save all of those infected, though she was unable to heal O'Neill (the Tok'ra helped him out there).

She died, serving as one of the last remaining human form Ancients that were left.
