10 Crazy Characters You Forgot Existed In Stargate

4. Lotan

Stargate Alien Enkaran
MGM

Lotan (guest star Brian Markenson) is an android, made in the form of an Enkaran. He was created by the Gadmeer in an attempt to negotiate with the Enkarans to remove them from the path of a terraforming vessel that was quickly transforming a planet to allow the Gadmeer to live on it.

Lotan, while a construct, initially was a representative of his creators and did not understand the issues that the Enkarans and SG-1 brought to him. He was there to just deliver the message. However, the Gadmeer created him a little too well.

They had, in effect, created a new Enkaran life - even if that life was synthetic. As such, he began to grow more and more curious about the nature of life and was loathe to see either the Enkarans or the Gadmeer have to choose to live or die. Thankfully, because of this growing awareness, he was able to comprehend compromise. SG-1 encouraged him to find another solution and he was able to source a new world for the Enkarans to live on.

His mission completed, he should then have deactivated. However, the Enkarans welcomed him as one of their own.
