10 Creepy TV Characters You ACTUALLY Root For
5. Missy (Doctor Who)
Missy might be the most sadistic and unpredictable incarnation of the Master we've ever had on Doctor Who - and that really is saying something.
From the way she toys with her prey before killing it (like that time when she gave Osgood a countdown to her own murder) to her wacky mannerisms and her apparent joy at being thrown into dangerous situations, it was nearly impossible to get a read on what the character's intentions were, and whenever she was onscreen, there was always a chance that she could snap and straight-up murder someone at any second.
But because of how fun Missy found all the death, scheming and backstabbing that usually followed whenever she was around, we as viewers also started to enjoy ourselves along with her. She couldn't be trusted and she was incredibly dangerous - absolutely - but she managed to make even the bleakest of situations highly entertaining to watch.
As a result, when she started to show more of a heroic side in Series 10, we all hoped that she might actually put her undeniably brilliant mind to good use - even though we could still sense that her callousness hadn't entirely vanished.
