10 Decisions That Have Already Doomed Upcoming TV Shows

1. Making A Show Nobody Asked For - Echo

Echo Hawkeye
Disney

Maya Lopez aka Echo (Alaqua Cox) was first introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2021's Hawkeye series, but before it had even aired Disney announced that a spin-off series focused on the character was in development.

By the time Hawkeye finished airing, many questioned whether Echo was an interesting enough character to have "earned" her own series, and a year on, the general sentiment among Marvel fans seems to be, "Who asked for this?"

Exacerbating the disinterest is a number of reports that the series, which wrapped shooting in August, was a troubled production, backed up by Disney's recent decision to delay its release by around six months, from this coming summer to December.

Echo was a fine character, but is fine really enough for people to tune in for a show centered around her?

One suspects Echo will have the lowest viewing figures of any MCU series to date, and Disney were rather silly to put these plans in motion before they even knew how audiences would respond to the character.
