Nicholas Briggs might have voiced the Ice Warriors for their long awaited return in the Series 7 episode Cold War but it was Spencer Wilding who took on their psychical guise. The athlete turned actor is no stranger to the weird and wonderful having previously played a host of malevolent creatures in Harry Potter, Guardians of the Galaxy and Batman. He has also appeared in Doctor Who as the minotaur in The God Complex before returning as the Wooden King in the 2011 Christmas Special, The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe.
