10 Doctor Who Characters Who Came Back From The Dead

6. Omega (The Three Doctors & Arc of Infinity)

Osgood
BBC

Speaking of insane Time Lords, Omega, one of the founders of the Time Lord society, was presumed dead after an accident involving his stellar manipulator. But he had merely been transported to an anti-matter universe (of course) that he was able to manipulate with the power of his mind.

When he found a way to connect with our universe, he found himself facing the first three incarnations of the Doctor, who ere disappointed to learn that one of the greatest heroes in the history of the Time Lords had been reduced to a ranting egomaniac hell-bent on revenge. The three Doctors managed to destroy Omega’s anti-matter universe and, by implication, Omega himself.

Remarkably, though (and with little explanation), Omega survived the destruction of this universe to return from the dead and cross into our universe with the aid of a member of the high council of Time Lords known as Hedin. Omega’s attempt to bond his biodata extract with that of the Doctor was, thankfully, thwarted, and (apparently) destroyed using a matter conversion gun. Although he would return again in the audio adventure, Omega, of course.
