When the Doctor is scared, that's when we know we should be freaking out.

Midnight sees the Doctor embark on a journey through a diamond planet called Midnight, befriending everyone onboard the tourist shuttle.

An unknown malevolent entity soon starts to torment the passengers by knocking on the sides of the shuttle, before taking over the mind of Sky Silvestry. The mysterious creature forces its host to repeat anything someone else may say, eventually becoming smart enough to mimic their speech and take over their body.

The story is simple and straightforward as it focuses on fear and paranoia. As the Doctor fights for his soul against the creature, the other passengers decide if they should throw him off the shuttle and leave him to die.

Viewers are also forced to use their imagination to determine what the entity could actually be.

For psychological horror fans, this episode should definitely be on top of their list to watch during Halloween. The unknown of what the creature is (and how it was able to take over a mind like the Doctor’s) ups the scare factor significantly.
