Blink introduced the horrifying Weeping Angels to the Whoniverse, and is frequently recognised as one of the best Doctor Who episodes ever written.
Despite being one of the deadliest and most vicious life forms, the strange thing about Angels is that they choose to kill their victims in a "kind" way, by transporting them back in time to continue living out their lives.
The Doctor and Martha aren't featured much in this episode - instead, Sally Sparrow is the main character. She deciphers mysterious messages the Doctor left for her, warning her about the angel status that move when you stop looking at them, and are so fast that they can attack you in the span of a single blink.
The Weeping Angels' inconspicuous statue design further heightens the terror, since it forces viewers to focus on the background of scenes to determine whether an angel is present, or has moved ever-so slightly.
The episode ends with the final twist that every statue in the world could be a Weeping Angel, with the Doctor warning us all, "Blink, and you're dead. Don't turn your back. Don't look away. And don't blink! Good luck."
