Things kick off when the Doctor and Clara visit a haunted mansion, running into Professor Alec Palmer and his psychic apprentice, Emma Grayling, who are both searching for the ghostly Witch of the Well.

This episode has all the makings of a classic haunted house story, with the first half of the episode amping up the gothic horror vibe nicely. Complete with spooky sounds, mysterious ghost figures, creaking in the walls, and walking through corridors by candlelight, this episode should be on every Who fan's Halloween watchlist.
