In the image above, you will see an accurate depiction of your expression after finishing The Idiot's Lantern. This episode will make you think twice about turning on your TV, not because of this week's screen-based monster, but rather just in case they happen to be rerunning it and you're forced to sit through it a second time.
The Wire is incredibly grating to listen to throughout, which turns many viewers away before the plot is even in full flow.
The troubled household we explore in this episode seems like an opportunity to tackle a tough issue, but is unfortunately portrayed in a rather one-dimensional way, and the rest of the supporting cast seem to have fallen into one of Series 5's cracks because everyone else forgot they were there.
Did you remember that an inspector from Torchwood made an appearance in this episode? Most likely not, as he took a backseat to Ten and Rose at height of their cutesy 'new couple' schtick, which is difficult to watch here.
Low stakes, weak dialogue, a bland villain and a completely lacklustre resolution combine to make this episode a masterclass in how to write a snooze-fest.
