10 Doctor Who Mistakes You Can NEVER Unsee

7. Cameraman Cameo (The Poison Sky)

Normally, crew members being accidentally caught on camera fall under the category of "blink-and-you'll-miss-it" mistakes, but this absolute whopper from Series 4's The Poison Sky is the exact opposite.

In the middle of the episode - when all hell has broken loose between the UNIT soldiers and the battle-hungry Sontarans - the Tenth Doctor starts tracking some alien technology using his sonic screwdriver.

At this point, if you look directly to the right of him, you can see a door with a reflective glass surface - a reflective glass surface that clearly contains a couple of crew members, who have been unwittingly caught in the shot.

What's particularly bizarre about this is the fact that director Douglas Mackinnon uses this shot no less than three times, and each shot is long enough that it gives the viewer plenty of time to scan the frame and notice the mistake.

How did the production crew not see this, even while they were shooting!? It takes up the entire right-hand side of the frame. Maybe they just hoped nobody would notice?

Well, joke's on you, suckers. We noticed.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
