SUMMARY: The Doctor and his companions arrive in a series of underground caverns, and whilst exploring them, discover an alien presence that wants to drain their energy. They try to escape, but the creature has already sapped all power from the TARDIS - it's dead. There appears to be no way out for the Doctor or his companions.
Centuries later, and the caverns have become part of a ghost walk run by Leanne. Unlike the other tour guides though, Leanne can actually hear the voices of ghosts - or rather one ghost, who is constantly annoying her - a ghost called the Doctor.
WHY LISTEN? To begin with the Doctor as a ghost is highly amusing. One scene in particular, where he has a go at really haunting Leanne, is great. Then there’s the suspense of the story. We know it has to work out in the end, but the writer really keeps you wondering how, and even if, the Doctor is going to save the day! This tension is added to by the cliff-hangers not being resolved at the beginning of each new episode. Are the companions alive? Is the Doctor? You’re not finding out until the end.
