3. The Zeppo
Season three's thirteenth episode, The Zeppo, is one of the series' always bankable Xander-centric episodes, following the lovable dope as, suffering in the wake of a permanent breakup with Cordelia and hampered by the fact that he is just a regular Joe amongst his super-friends, he hits his mid-life/late-teen crisis.
Picking up a sweet ride from his Uncle Roary (a soft-top Chevy Bel Aire) and donning a pair of shades, Xander attempts to carve out a new path as 'the car guy', but rapidly finds himself becoming destined to be 'the doughnut run guy'. Breaking away from the group, he accidentally gets wound up in a plan by class psychopath Jack O'Toole to raise his dead friends and blow up Sunnydale High.
Every moment of The Zeppo is farcical gold, mining Xander for his single best quality and juxtaposing his crazy night with snippets of a comedically epic storyline where the rest of the Scoobies try to stop the Sisterhood of Jhe from reopening the Hellmouth.
