10 Game Of Thrones Facts That Will Blow Your Mind

7. George R.R. Martin Told HBO How It All Ends, In Case The Worst Thing Ever Imaginable Happens

Ask any true Game Of Thrones fan what their biggest fear is, and the answer will undoubtedly lie with George R.R. Martin's possible death before he gets to finish the books. It's hard to imagine, but the truth is no one knows what tomorrow may bring and winter may end up coming sooner than anyone really wants it to. The only thing we know about the next book, The Winds Of Winter, is that it's definitely not coming out in 2014, and the gap between Books 4 and 5 was an unbearable five years. At 65, Martin is no spring chicken so the worries are warranted, but we can take a bit of a breather because we have the show and Martin has revealed the end to the producers, incase he meets his maker too soon. The current season is already covering some aspects of the last book, and with Martin's no-rush attitude, another major concern is that the TV show will do all of the catching up to the books, leaving no room forward without knowing what happens next. So, the two creators of the show, D.B. Weiss and David Benioff, have a rough idea of what's going to happen in case the TV show completely catches up to the books or - far worse - Martin ends up like most of his characters.
