10 Genuinely Heart-Wrenching Doctor Who Quotes

3. Doomsday

You knew this one would show up on the list eventually, didn't you? There wasn't a dry eye in the house back in 2006 (and if there was, you were trying your damned hardest not to cry in front of your family!) when the Tenth Doctor and Rose Tyler bid their heartbreaking farewell - or so everybody thought, anyway - on the now iconic shores of Bad Wolf Bay. Their time together in the TARDIS had signalled one of the greatest eras in Doctor Who history and an audience of nearly 9 million viewers watched as everybody's favourite shop girl turned Earth defender took this poignant scene as her last chance to confess her undying devotion to TV's favourite Time Lord once and for all. He would've said it back, too (well, probably - the truth is, we'll never know!), if that b*stard breach hadn't sealed at the exact moment the fateful words were about to pass his lips. That's the Doctor for you. Always leaving the important things to the very last minute. Damn you, Russell T Davies! *shakes fist*
