With 5 momentous years at the helm of the TARDIS to his household name, David Tennant decided to call it a day in The End of Time, Part Two and, after a year of preceding 'specials' building up to one of the most anticipated and dreaded regenerations in Doctor Who history, the momentous moment had certainly been prepared for. The only problem was, the Tenth Doctor didn't want to go! The 12 million devastated viewers watching from the comfort of their homes didn't want him to go, either, as this iconic incarnation disappeared in a self combustion of explosive energy before our very tear drenched eyes. And the nation wept. And wept. And wept. And then Matt Smith came along a few seconds later and everything was OK again. Apart from the TARDIS hurling uncontrollably towards planet Earth, that is. The end was just the beginning...
