8. Roses Dad Dies (Fathers Day, 2005)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xI_q5xSz_34 Rose was never a favorite of mine, but her character was best and strongest in this episode from Who scribe Paul Cornell. In it, Rose goes to see her fathers death and, at the last moment, stops it, causing a rift in time that can only be resolved when the man, by his own choice, sacrifices himself to save everyone else. Its a wonderfully touching story that gives both Billie Piper and Camile Coduri a chance to show what theyre both capable of given the right material.
