10 Huge Questions Still Surrounding Loki On Disney+
4. Why Is The TVA After Loki?
Loki's first trailer gave away many new details, but offered a closer look at the TVA than anything else. The Time Variance Authority will play a big role in the series, and has clearly got Loki imprisoned after his escape from the Avengers in New York.
In the comics, the TVA monitors any and all timelines, ensuring the different realities don't get too messed up, so it's fair to assume they will hold a similar role in the MCU, but why are they specifically targeting Loki?
Up to this point in the MCU, the God of Mischief has done zero time travelling, as he used the Space Stone to escape the Avengers. The Tesseract doesn't have the ability to travel through time, instead dropping Loki in a different part of the universe, but still on the same timeline.
The Avengers all travelled through time in Endgame, as did Thanos, and Doctor Strange went into 14 million different futures in Infinity War, but were met with no interference by the TVA. So why would they choose to come after Loki when he hasn't abused different timelines, but many other characters have? Does Loki potentially get up to something else in the series before the TVA get involved?
