8. Night Shift
Initially running from 1992-1994, Night Shift was a five minute filler for late night television. It was hosted by Colin Bennett - THE Mr Bennett of Tony Hart Fame. The basic premise was Bennett visiting places of work during the night shift where some poor souls who were otherwise unemployable had really crappy jobs. He mainly visited Gatwick but was known to frequent hospitals, taxi firms, lap dancing clubs, even nuclear power plants. For the whole of the programmes, Bennett wore an Edmonton Oilers jacket that was permanently clad on his back. Entertaining post-piss up fare that a few of you may remember.
