10 MORE Actors You Didn’t Know Were In Star Trek

There's a rumour going round that Larry Cedar is only on this list so I can talk about Stargate again. Lies! Vicious lies! A talented actor, Cedar has had an expansive, multi-decade career in film, television, and voice work… Oh, who am I kidding? He was the brilliantly creepy and preachy Prior of the Ori in SG-1's ninth season episode Origin. Live long and be hallowed!

Cedar began his TV career on another now sacred sci-fi show — the original 1978 Battlestar Galactica. He also boasts the likes of CommunityDeadwoodLaw & Order, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Constantine, and The Crazies on his impressive acting CV.

Cedar has been three separate characters in Star Trek. His first was T'Lani scientist, and man who must have one hell of a job with the nit comb, Nydrom, in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode Armageddon Game. After that, and still with a high-maintenance hair-do, Cedar was Kazon 'Jal' Tersa (of the Pommar) in Star Trek: Voyager's Alliances.

Lastly, and like many of us, with less time for the follicular, Cedar portrayed Tessic, an alien of unknown species defending his deuterium mine against the Klingons in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode Marauders.

Jack Kiely is a writer with a PhD in French and almost certainly an unhealthy obsession with Star Trek.
