10 More TV Shows That Just Got Cancelled
6. Roswell, New Mexico
Roswell, New Mexico is the second adaptation of Melinda Metz's beloved Roswell High books, following the hit series Roswell which ran for three seasons between 1999 and 2002 before being cancelled due to low ratings.
Roswell, New Mexico launched in 2019 on The CW, and though its first season received a mixed response from critics for its excess similarities to the original - despite being touted as a "reimagining" - it posted solid ratings throughout its first two seasons as the general reception steadily improved.
Yet mere weeks before the imminent debut of its fourth season, the network confirmed that the upcoming season would be its last on the air.
The CW didn't provide any formal reason for the cancellation, though considering the third season's average viewers per episode were less than half that of season two, it doesn't take a whole lot of reading between the lines to figure it out.
