Born to a wealthy Britannian nobleman and his Japanese mistress, Kallen had always been closest to her brother and Japanese freedom fighter, Naoto. Appalled at the tyranny of the Britannian colonial regime, she joins the fight for Japan’s liberation.

Kallen becomes a major thorn in Britannia’s side, dealing major damages to their forces in every battle and even fending off the mighty Lancelot in 1v1 combat. Of course during these wars, she gets put through quite the emotional wringer. She falls in love with Zero/Lelouch only to shunned at the end, makes peace with her wreck of a mother, and is evenforced to decide where her true allegiance lies when Lelouch’s identity is revealed and the battle to decide the world’s fate is about to go down.

In the end though, none of it could phase her, as she becomes one of the key figures of the new world following the Brittania's fall.
